Manchester City Centre Office Complex
A full facade scaffolding project for a 12-storey office building undergoing extensive renovation in Manchester's financial district. The project required careful coordination with building tenants, public safety measures, and integration with existing architectural features.

The Challenge
The building remained partially occupied throughout the renovation, requiring minimal disruption to tenants. The site had extremely limited ground space in Spinningfields, with public footpaths on three sides. Manchester's unpredictable weather also posed scheduling risks, with frequent rain and wind delays.
Our Solution
We designed a system scaffold using Layher Allround components to maximise the usable platform space while minimising the ground footprint. Public protection gantries with debris netting were installed along all three pedestrian routes. We coordinated deliveries for early morning hours to avoid peak foot traffic, and installed integrated stair towers to allow trades to access all floors independently of the building's internal lifts.
The Result
The scaffold was erected in just 4 days — 2 days ahead of schedule. Zero safety incidents occurred across the 8-week hire period. All 12 floors were accessible simultaneously, allowing multiple trades to work concurrently. The project finished 5 days early, saving the client significant labour costs.

"Bee Scaffolding delivered an exceptional scaffold that kept our £2 million renovation on track. Their planning was meticulous, and the minimal ground footprint was exactly what we needed on a tight Spinningfields site. I will not hesitate to use them again."
