1. Definitions

In these Terms of Service, "the Company", "we", "us", and "our" refer to Bee Scaffolding Manchester, trading as Bee Scaffolding Manchester, registered at 53 Dale St, Greater, Manchester M1 2HH. "Client", "you", and "your" refer to the individual, company, or organisation engaging our scaffolding services. "Services" refers to all scaffolding-related work including but not limited to scaffold erection, hire, maintenance, inspection, dismantling, and temporary roofing.

2. Quotations and Acceptance

All quotations provided by the Company are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated in writing. A quotation becomes a binding contract only upon written acceptance by the Client and confirmation by the Company. The Company reserves the right to revise quotations if the Client requests changes to the scope of work, site conditions differ from those described, or additional requirements become apparent after site survey.

3. Scope of Work

The scope of work shall be as detailed in the written quotation and any subsequent agreed variations. The Company will erect scaffolding in accordance with British Standard BS EN 12811-1, the Work at Height Regulations 2005, and all applicable health and safety legislation. Any changes to the agreed scope must be requested in writing and may incur additional charges.

4. Site Access and Conditions

The Client must ensure safe and adequate access to the site for our vehicles, equipment, and personnel. The site must be clear of obstructions at the agreed commencement date. The Client warrants that they have obtained all necessary permissions, licences, and consents required for the works, including but not limited to street works licences from Manchester City Council where applicable. The Company accepts no liability for delays caused by lack of site access or permissions.

5. Hire Period and Charges

Scaffolding hire charges commence from the date of handover, when the structure is signed off as safe for use. The minimum hire period is one week unless otherwise agreed in writing. Hire charges are calculated weekly and invoiced in advance. The Client may request dismantling at any time with a minimum of 48 hours notice. Failure to provide adequate notice may result in charges for the subsequent week.

6. Payments

Payment terms are 14 days from the date of invoice unless otherwise agreed in writing. A deposit of 50% of the total quoted price is required before commencement of works for all new commercial clients. Late payments may incur interest at the rate of 8% per annum above the Bank of England base rate, in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998. The Company reserves the right to suspend works or refuse dismantling until all outstanding invoices are settled.

7. Insurance and Liability

The Company maintains employer liability insurance of £10 million and public liability insurance of £10 million. The Client is responsible for maintaining their own buildings and contents insurance throughout the hire period. The Company accepts liability for damage caused by our negligence during erection, maintenance, and dismantling, subject to our insurance policy terms and limits. We accept no liability for pre-existing defects in the Client property or damage caused by third parties, adverse weather, or acts of God.

8. Safety and Inspections

The Company will inspect the scaffold before first use, after any alteration, following adverse weather conditions, and at least every seven days thereafter, in accordance with the Work at Height Regulations 2005. Inspection reports will be available on-site. The Client must not alter, remove, or interfere with the scaffold structure without our written consent. The Client must ensure that only competent, trained personnel use the scaffold and must report any defects or damage immediately.

9. Cancellation

The Client may cancel the booking by giving not less than 48 hours written notice before the agreed commencement date. Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice will incur a charge equal to 50% of the quoted price to cover mobilisation costs. Once scaffolding has been erected, cancellation of the hire period is subject to the minimum hire period charges.

10. Force Majeure

The Company shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather conditions, strikes, lockouts, accidents, war, fire, reduction in or unavailability of power at manufacturing plant, breakdown of plant or machinery, or shortage or unavailability of raw materials from a natural source of supply.

11. Governing Law
